Lighthouse was just named a 21st Century Learning Exemplar by the Partnership for 21st Century Learning (P21) out of Washington DC — one of only 16 schools in the nation!

P21 representatives visited Lighthouse during the 2016-17 school year and determined our place based on an application from our development team and extensive observation and interviews. The 16 named P21 Exemplars have demonstrated not just an exceptional implementation of the Framework for 21st Century Learning, but also expertise in the elements of: Student Agency; Distributed Leadership; a Climate of Achievement; Engaged Community; and use of Evidence and Research.

P21 will be creating a Case Study about Lighthouse which will be published in Spring 2018. In the meantime, our school will be honored in February 2018 at the P21 on the Hill event in Washington DC!
