Mr. Jay Eirvin has over 20 years of experience in education, with a strong background in school leadership, counseling, instructional coaching, student support, and special education. He currently serves at Lighthouse High School as Assistant Principal for Grades 9–10 beginning next school year.
Mr. Eirvin has led and supported diverse Bay Area school communities as a principal, assistant principal, school counselor, and special education teacher. His leadership is rooted in equity, student success, strong relationships, and creating school environments where students feel supported, challenged, and connected. He has extensive experience with instructional leadership, staff development, data-driven decision-making, master scheduling, MTSS, PBIS, restorative practices, and family/community partnership.
Jay holds a Clear Administrative Services Credential from CSU East Bay and a Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the University of La Verne. He also earned a Master of Science in Educational Counseling from the University of La Verne and a Bachelor of Arts in Multicultural and Gender Studies from CSU Chico.
