Eduardo Figueroa is a second-year law student at the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Eduardo was a paralegal at the Oakland Law Collaborative where he worked with immigration, criminal defense, and plaintiffs’ employment attorneys. Eduardo earned his BA in Criminal Justice from CSU, Chico where he was a Legal Research Assistant at the Butte County Jail. During his time at CSU, Chico, Eduardo was also Co-Director of the Penal Law Project at the Community Legal Information Center – a student-run legal clinic providing legal information to members of the community.
Eduardo is a proud Lighthouse alum (go Lobos!) and joined the Board of Directors in 2020. He is passionate about ensuring students from East Oakland are given a meaningful opportunity of applying to college and is excited to work with the Board towards that goal. During his free time, Eduardo enjoys playing soccer, cooking, and spending time with friends.
