Dezaree Doroliat
Director of Student Services and Community Schools
Dezaree Doroliat serves as the Director of Student Services and Community Schools at Lighthouse Community Public Schools. She brings more than 20 years of experience supporting students, coaching educators, and building systems that help school communities thrive.
Raised in a Navy family primarily in Southeast San Diego, with deep family roots in the Bay Area, Dezaree learned early the importance of belonging, connection, and building community through transitions. Those experiences shaped her passion for creating schools where students feel seen, supported, and empowered. She earned her B.A. from UC Santa Barbara and her M.A. in Counseling and her Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential with a specialization in School Counseling from the University of San Diego.
Dezaree began her career working directly with students and families through expanded learning and school counseling before moving into district-level leadership to strengthen the systems and practices that serve students every day. Rooted in her identity as a school counselor, she brings a passion for seeing complexity, identifying connections, and creating structures that make it easier for adults to support student achievement, belonging, and long-term success.
At LCPS, Dezaree leads work across student services and community schools, including MTSS, attendance and student engagement, restorative practices, expanded learning, athletics, family engagement, and community partnerships. Through this work, she focuses on removing barriers, strengthening a sense of belonging, and expanding opportunities so that every student can thrive.
Outside of school, Dezaree is active in her church community and loves spending time with family as a proud auntie. She is also a proud nerd who enjoys a good book, puzzles, plants, decorating, and adventures with her dog, Koda.
