This summer, LCPS is offering free summer school for our students. We will begin reaching out to students that may be a good fit for summer school soon but wanted to make sure that our students and families can save these dates as they are making plans for summer travel. WHEN: June 6 to June 30 (roughly 9 am-2 pm -- we are still finalizing hours). WHAT:

• Credit Recovery for high school students who need to make up credits in English 9, English 10, IM1, and World History.
• Summer College Classes for high school students who want to earn college credit this summer.
• High School Readiness programming for current 8th-grade students to be ready to transition to high school. You will be able to earn credit towards graduation for participating.
• Summer Algebra Institute, for current 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students who want to accelerate their math learning over the summer. Provided in collaboration with CSU East Bay and SEO Scholars. Note -- this program runs from June 6 to July 8. You will be able to earn credit towards graduation for participating.
• K-8 Summer Literacy Program to provide reading intervention for K-8 students. We will prioritize admission to students who need the most support with their reading.
• Extended School Year (ESY) is provided to a small number of students with IEPs who demonstrate significant regression over extended breaks.  Note: Your IEP team will discuss with you whether your child is eligible for ESY.  This program runs from June 7 to July 1 and the program hours are 9 am - 12 pm.
